Our team provides in-house engineering for projects that require designed and sealed plans. We deliver faster schedules, improved communication, and a workflow that stays on track.
At East-West Electric, we offer in-house Professional Engineering services to our clients. This differentiates us from the competition and provides tremendous value to our customers. When a project requires a permit (and most do!), we can create and seal the plans required by the Building Department using our own team of Engineers and Designers. In our experience, the ability to design in house helps with project cost, schedule, and construction flexibility. We have also been able to create very strong relationships with Utility Companies and Building Departments through this design build approach.
Our in-house Electrical Engineering team allows the project process to flow much more efficiently than firms without Engineering services.
Our initial proposals include Engineering Services, which are considered complete once a permit is issued. The electrical plans created during this phase become the owner’s property and provide full documentation of the project. If detailed plans of the existing electrical system exist, we can update those plans to include the project being completed.
After proposal acceptance, we can often order equipment while the plans are in permit review. When we’re the Engineer for the project, we have the confidence to make this order before the permit is fully approved. This early start helps compress the schedule and limits delays tied to material availability, keeping the project moving while permits work through review.
If any problems arise that require re-engineering or modifications to the plans, we don’t have to stop progress to get an Engineer’s response. We just walk over to their desks!
Because engineering is included in your initial proposal, you know exactly what’s being designed and what will be submitted. Plans become your documentation.
Clear, compliant plans you can submit with confidence.
Your drawings stay accurate and reflect the work being done.
You lock in a scope that avoids all surprises.
Our team of electrical engineers focus on these services and provide support for many more:

Tell us about your project, and we will outline how our engineering team & electricians can support it from design through completion.
Yes. The engineering team supports new construction projects and modifications to existing electrical systems, including panel changes, service upgrades, lighting upgrades, and system expansions, in line with the wider services East-West Electric already offers.
When a project needs stamped electrical plans or permit-ready drawings, your proposal includes Engineering Services as part of the scope. Engineering is considered complete when the permit is issued and the plans are accepted.
If you have accurate, detailed drawings of your current system, our team can update those documents to include the new work. This helps maintain a consistent record of your building’s electrical system.
Yes. East-West Electric has built relationships with Utility Companies and Building Departments through its design build approach. The engineering team uses those relationships to support permit review, service changes, and other project needs.
East-West Electric is based in Clearwater, Florida, and provides services across Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough Counties, along with other areas of Florida for certain projects.
Yes, our Florida State Contractor License number is #EC0001444. We also have public liability insurance policies that we show on the job. This will protect both our team and yourself, should an accident occur. So far, our insurance policies have not been required in the 30 plus years we have been in business.
We start every project with a clear proposal that outlines scope, timelines, and expectations. Smaller residential work often moves quickly, but commercial projects will likely require a site review from our engineering team to establish accurate pricing and define the full scope. This process keeps the project aligned from the start and supports our strong record of staying within budget.
